I attended Feather river family camp and camp Kidd (boys camp) every year during my childhood in the 1970's and 80's.

It was a wonderful experience for me growing up in Oakland to get away to the woods with so much support and comfort from the staff and infrastructure as well as the social traditions and fun of the camps.

They have special interest camps for families and for youth such as arts camp, alternative families camp, and teen challenge adventure camp.

It's as diverse as Oakland and helped me become the person I am today. Go there, experience it yourself with your family or on your own. For kids, adults and families this camp is the best summer experience an Oaklander could hope for.
